      Tim R. LaRocca received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1993, and the M.S. degree from Arizona State University in 1996. He is pursuing the Ph.D. degree at UCLA. His work experience includes GaAs pHEMT and HBT low-noise and power ampli?er design for GSM and 802.11 standards. He is now on a doctoral fellowship fromNorthrop-Grumman, Los Angeles, CA, where he is involved in RF communication component design. His doctoral research is in millimeter-wave CMOS passive and active design.
