Yan Zhao
      Dr. Yan Zhao received the M.S. degree in microwave technology from Northwestern Polytechnical University (NWPU), China, in 2002, and the Ph.D. degree in circuit and system from Southeast University (SEU), China, in 2009. From 2002 to 2005, he was with ZTE Corporation, Xian, China, where he worked as an RF engineer on mm-Wave transceiver system and WCDMA RF system design. From 2009 to 2013, he was with the Institute for High-frequency and Communication Technology (IHCT) at the University of Wuppertal, Germany, researching on mm-wave and terahertz circuit design. He is currently with the High Speed Electronics Laboratory at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), CA, USA. His primary research interests concern mmWave and terahertz circuits for imaging and communication applications. Dr. Zhao is a co-recipient of the 2012 Jan Van Vessem Award for the Outstanding European Paper at the IEEE International Solid-State Circuit Conference.
